“Hi, I’m Lisa Spencer, Ed.D”

Certified Functional Nutritional Therapy Practitioner

My passion is helping others reach their fullest potential.

Through interactive sessions, with individuals, small groups or teams, I educate girls of all ages to learn about performance nutrition unique to each individual. My clients are empowered to implement the information and see results. Additionally, these girls will connect with each other for support of each individual and strength through unity.

Our body and mind are powerful entities and when they are nourished and trained appropriately they can work wonders – naturally.

With my varied careers and hobbies throughout life I have studied the power of the body and the power of the mind.

As a young athlete I studied physiology and nutrition to enhance my own performance. Starting down a career path of fitness and nutrition I became a high school track coach and earned certification as a fitness trainer to manage a fitness and nutrition center in a large gym. Understanding nutrition’s role in the athlete’s performance played a huge role in my varied personal athletic endeavors and in my training.

My passion is helping others reach their fullest potential.

In searching for a career I knew I wanted to do two things: make the world a better place and work with youth to help them reach their fullest potential. Naturally I looked to the field of education.

I went on to earn my Masters and Doctorate in Education to work as a School Counselor and Professor of Education, respectively. After many years of balancing the demands of my career as an Associate Professor and that of my family I decided it was time for a change.

In reflecting again on my true passions I began to to learn more about the human body, how it works, and how to maximize performance.

In becoming a Certified Functional Nutritional Therapy Practitioner I learned more about how our bodies function and how nutrients interact with the body. It not only matters what we eat, but when we eat it, how the food is grown or raised and how we prepare it and eat it.

Moreover, each body is unique in how it reacts to nutrients and stress. I learned how to support the body with the demands we put on it. The human body is amazing and the more each person knows about what their unique body needs – the better they can support it to optimize performance.
